CORE at Eltham East

At Eltham East Primary School Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is a integral part of all that we do. We have a very well developed SEL teaching and learning program that we call CORE- due to the fact that is the ‘core’ anchor to all learning and experiences at school. The five main domains of our CORE program are;

• Personal Learning

• Social Learning

• Emotional Learning

• Body Safety Education and

• Positive Coping

Our teachers plan weekly lessons in one or more of the domains of our CORE program by drawing upon initiatives and resources from The Resilience Project, PATHS and Respectful Relationships, to name a few, to cater for the needs of our students.
