Sport at EEPS

Sport at EEPS plays an important role.

At Eltham East Primary School we believe that sport, physical education and active movement is one important part of the life of every child.

We know that children have different interests and passions, and gain enjoyment from different types of sports. It is for this reason that we expose the students to different types of sports and physical activities throughout their school life.

One of the main tenets of our sporting approach can be summed up as the three Ps of ‘passion, pride and participation’.

Whilst we achieve some outstanding sporting results, both for individual students, and collectively as a school, we are not a ‘win at all cost’ school.

How our EEPS students interact with their peers, how they interact during Interschool sport or competitions is an important aspect that we teach through our Physical Education program.

We are proud of our approach to PE, giving students opportunities, experiences and helping them to develop a healthy, respectful, yet competitive attitude to sporting events.
