Specialists at EEPS

We have specialist teachers in the areas of Japanese, Visual Arts, Music, Physical Education, Sustainability and Biodiversity, Library and Creative Media.

At Eltham East Primary School, we offer a dynamic Specialist Program that enriches students' learning experiences and nurtures their creativity, skills, and well-being.

Japanese: Students explore the Japanese language and culture through engaging activities that build their communication skills and intercultural understanding.

Visual Art: Our art program encourages students to express their creativity while developing skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, and other artistic mediums.

Music: Students develop their musical knowledge and appreciation through singing, playing instruments, and creating music, fostering a love for performance and rhythm.

Physical Education (PE): Our PE program focuses on building physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship through skill development, games, and sports.

In addition, we provide a targeted fifth subject tailored to individual year levels:

  • Prep – Year 2: Library Studies, fostering a love of reading and appreciation of literature.

  • Years 3 and 4: Sustainability and Biodiversity, exploring environmental concepts and actions to care for our planet.

  • Years 5 and 6: Creative Media, where students develop digital literacy and media creation skills through hands-on projects.

These specialist subjects allow students to discover their passions, develop confidence, and build important skills beyond the classroom.
