We are a school that prides itself on providing our students an education based on excellence, maintaining traditional values and high expectations. Our teachers are involved in many varied research projects and initiatives to provide depth and breadth to our students’ education.
In collaboration with Nicholas Buc, the Eltham East students sing our school song, "Purple and Gold", each week at assembly. When writing the song with Nicholas, students made reference to our school values, sportsmanship, the school community and the Eltham environment. Please enjoy our school song.
Dear families and friends of the EEPS community,
We hold Evacuation Drills and to date our students and staff have a wonderful record of rapid and orderly response. Each term we hold either announced or unannounced Evacuation Drill and hope to meet or better our ability to assemble in 5 minutes.
Please read the following advice which is of importance for the Bush Fire Season:
On CODE RED days EEPS is not closed, we do emphasise families should enact their Bush fire plan. In the event of an emergency, children at EEPS are practiced in moving to the designated safest area at school.
The key message is preparation. Each year our term 4 curriculum includes a mini bush fire safety unit. We include this link which has useful information http://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/plan-prepare/your-bush re-plan/
