Eltham East Twilight Sports

This year sees the inaugural EEPS Twilight Sports event. It will be an opportunity to meet new friends, catch up with old friends and have some not too serious competition and fun.

Gary Honey a member of our local community and retired Olympic Silver and Commonwealth Games Gold medallist in Long Jump will present ribbons to our competitors.

You can choose to BYO your own level of luxury – a picnic rug, chairs, your own food and drink or take advantage of food and drink supplied.

Steve Herbert is donating the sausages we’ll be sizzling & rumour has it that he will be here cooking them! He will also officially ‘open’ the new Prep Learning Area.

In addition to the events on the oval there will be :

• A sausage sizzle in the rotunda & cold drinks for sale at the canteen
• A coffee cart with an espresso machine on the netball court next to the hall
• ‘Glowstix’ for sale , face painting and temporary tattoos
• A cake stall in the hall foyer
• Raffle with 1972 Richmond Grand Final Footy record signed by the legendary Kevin Sheedy and Royce Hart as one of the prizes.

We hope that all families will be able to come along and join in the fun on November 10th between 5:30pm & 7:30pm.

There will be lots of novelty races, each student & adult family member may register for 2 races. Student races will be held in age groupings & adult races will have an ‘open’ age grouping!

The cost to register for each race is a gold coin.

Please fill in one entry form per family & send it back to school with your payment by Friday November 6th.

The events to choose from are:

• Egg & Spoon Race
• Gumboot Throw
• 3 Legged  Race – 2 names, could be a father/son combination etc.
• Dress Up Race – dress ups will be provided!
• Shot Put – with a difference!
• Javelin Throw – safety assurance provided!
• Apple Peeling Competition
• Sack Race
• Apple Bob
