The Eltham East Primary School Out of School Hours Child Care program operates in accordance with the funding and service agreement between Eltham East Primary School Council and the Commonwealth Department of Family, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FACSIA) and the OSHC policy developed by the school.

The program aims to provide quality out of school hours child care and recreational activities at Eltham East Primary School in a safe, caring, stimulating and well supervised environment. The program is gender inclusive, culturally diverse and developmentally appropriate in its operation. The program operates without making significant demands on either the school's teaching or administrative staff or its financial resources.
